Led a software engineering course team that developed software to aggregate partial election results for Wisconsin Public Radio. Reports from this software system are used by a political analyst and on-air-reporter to do analysis and prediction on election night.
Java is the language which which I am most familiar. I used Java for 15 years Pearson VUE to build the test authoring and delivery applications.
I learned JavaScript and AngularJS at the same. My background with compilers helped me understand AngularJS, AngularJS helped me fall in love with JavaScript.
I published my first open source Angular Directive, the angular-bootstrap-datetimepicker, in 2013 and now it thousands of downloads per week.
In 2015, I two days to learn React and then live-code a new application in front of 30 students; It went great. I find React easy and intuitive IF you know JavaScript well.
I have used Git version control since 2011 in open source projects, small teams, and Fortune 100 enterprise teams.
